Long time no see!
Hi! It’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything on this blog, but I promise you I haven’t forgotten it! I’ve simply been taking a break, both from social media and to focus on my college studies. And let’s be honest here, I’m also not very reliable when it comes to committing to long-term projects in general. Thankfully, however, I’m extremely close to graduating, so come the beginning of May, I should be able to get back to writing more frequently. I still need to hash out the details of how frequently, as I’ll still have obligations outside of blog writing, including looking for an internship and/or an actual job. Because let’s be real, it’s highly unlikely I’ll gain a big enough paying audience on Substack that I’ll be making a disposable income from blogs alone, as much as I would like to.
So, that’s basically what the state of the Professional Ignoramus is. For a treat, I’ll post a couple of things I wrote as part of one of my college classes, both of which are related to the presidency. After that though, posts will be paused until around early- to mid-May, where I’ll probably go back to posting frank—if perhaps midwitted—commentary on current events related to politics and culture. After that, who knows? One thing is for certain though, I will try to keep everyone posted if I think I’ll end up abandoning the blog again for one reason or another, which could very well happen due to the job thing.
Anyways, pardon my long and unannounced absence, and I hope I haven’t lost my entire audience, whatever it may have been prior. Regardless though, I also hope everyone’s been taking it easy and taking care of themselves. Because we may all need it depending on where we’re all headed.
